[Plugin: The Events Calendar] There's no way to make the calendar display

I updated one site with the new plugin and it was truly a major upgrade. I hacked a way to display the calendar grid using the settings for the URL friendly name of the calendar. I changed the permalink of a page to the URL friendly name. Before upgrading using a Category named Events worked. Unfortunately there was no documentation I could find to show how to display the calendar.

I then added a new install on another site and when I went to the Settings page for the plugin there is no field for adding the URL name of the calendar. Without a URL I can’t use my hack. And a Category of Events doesn’t work either. The documentation is totally lacking about general use of the plugin. I can fill out Event forms all day long but without a calendar no one can see them. What used to be a good plugin is now worthless to me.
