  • Hey Sscott!

Could you send us a link to your site so we can check it out. So far, things seem to be working with those two plugins installed on our testing setup.

In the short term, however, an alternative would be to use MailChimp’s embedded form on your site. For more info on that, check out this link from out Knowledge Base:

How can I add my signup form on my website?: https://eepurl.com/gOGN

Give us a shout back and we’ll be happy to have a closer look!

    Cheers

Thanks for the reply. You can check out the (incomplete) site at: https://www.siouxstorm.com. I tried using the mailchimp plugin widget and it stopped the drop down menus from working and the All-in-One Event calendar could not let me add any events. When I turned off the Mailchimp plugin everything works fine. Would like to resolve it and use your plugin, am using a different one now but don’t like the formatting and setup as much. Thanks for any help.

Sorry about the delay there, Sscott!

We still haven’t been able to replicate the same behavior on this end of things. We even got the two to cooperate on the same page. Check out this screenshot:

Can you replicate the same behavior by changing the theme for your setup?

I don’t want to change the theme even for a test. I’ve got lots of customization set up in the theme and don’t want to risk losing it.

    Hey again, Scott!

Unfortunately, this sounds like a specific conflict between the theme and that combination of plugins. We were able to successfully get those two plugins working and cooperating on the same page. Additionally, we were also able to use the “Add Event” function from the WordPress dashboard.

At this point, it might be best to reach out to the theme developer to see if they have any suggestions as to what might be going awry. If you do hear anything, please don’t hesitate to give us a shout. We’re happy to help!

    Cheers
