Layout looks completely different in user site

Help! I have been working on this all day and I thought it looked good (Other then the fact that I can’t get rid of “posted on” and “reply”).
Then I checked the site on another server as though I were a user and not the owner and it looks horrible! It looks like a child put it together. Yes, it’s my first time doing this.
I am out of patience. Do you think I need to hire someone? I was trying to not spend the money but I guess you get what you pay for.
