Hacked: new directory or server to recreate site?

    Hi,

    One of my WP sites has been hacked (twice now) and I’m ready to start fresh. I’m currently redirecting users to a “maintenance” page but still have all the old files. The only change I’ve made is in creating new passwords. I’m wondering if it’s OK to temporarily install in a new directory on the same server or should I use an entirely different server.

    Your thoughts are appreciated.
