Open links in post in new window using Markdown

  • Hello,

    Is it possible to make links open in a new window from a post, if I am using Markdown?

    Is there a line of code somewhere that I can change? I am only becoming confident enough to go hunting for it and if someone could tell me where it is, that would be wonderful.

  • No, markdown doesn’t allow that, as far as I’m aware. Opening links in a new window is considered a bit “rude” these days anyway and that’s probably the reason its creator didn’t implement that functionality.
