• I tried posting this to the Plug In’s forum but received no responses so I guess I will try here. Thanks in advance for any help provided!

I have used the Google Maps for WordPress plug in on multiple sites without issues and have added it to a new site that I am in the process of building.

On the new site I am using the 2011 Theme, the previous sites have been 2010 Theme.

The plug in Loads perfectly in latest Chrome and Safari, but in IE 8 and Firefox 8 the address location box loads but the underlying map does not.

Site where plug in works in all browsers: https://cornellsrestaurant.com
New site where plug in fails in IE8 and FF8: https://rjritz.com

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

  • Hi,

In the first site (the one where it is working), after the JS script is called, there are some lines of code which are responsible of displaying the map. Those lines are not there in your second site.
Are you sure you are inserting the map properly?
Also, have you tested switching from 2011 to 2010 on the second site see if the map is displayed?

Thanks Marventus! I inserted the Google Map code the same as I did with the earlier sites. What I ended up doing is changing to the MapPress plug in, which worked perfectly first time.
