Google Sitemap Plugin WP Problem

    I have installed Arne Brachold WordPress Google Sitemap Plugin and then have submitted the xml sitemap to Google sitemaps. I then get the message Denied URL after an hour or so.
    Then a few hours later it says OK then reverts back to Denied URL and then OK later on again. This continues on.
    Am I right in assuming the permissions are incorrect or is this normal Google sitemap behavior.
    Are there specific permissions I need in the WP-content folder and other WordPress folders as well as the domain for this to work.
    If anybody could throw some light on this I would really appreciate it.

    PS I am using version 1.5 of WordPress, does that make a difference possibly as others seem to have no problem with it

    Just as a starting point, I believe the author specifies 1.5.1 or greater for this plugin. He must have a good reason. ??
