• I realize this a variation of this question’s been asked a million times, yet I’ve found no satisfactory answer.

I ran my website, https://www.ohgizmo.com, successfully for about six months. It’s a three column layout based on the Bionic Jive theme. Google ads were present all along, on the third column, context sensitive and relatively lucrative.

Then, when I joined Blogads, I decided to do two things. First, update to 1.5.1.2, then, (since my blogads colums was getting long), move the Adsense colums to the middle, right below the contact information, to make some space.

Then, I added a 468px banner at the very top of the (468 px wide) main column (I edited header.php).

What happened is, at first, my ads stopped being context sensitive. They showed the same crap for 10 days. Figuring something might be wrong, I removed the 468px banner. That didn’t do anything. Sure enough, three or four days later, I get PSAs.

What’s happening now, is that nothing is showing on the first page. As soon as you go to the second page, or into an individual post, magically, all the adsense ads show up. But on the first page, nada. I made everything collapsing, so at least it doesn’t look too bad, but I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Please, please help. I have over 2,200 hits daily, and I’m losing a lot of money bc of this stupid problem.

    Thanks

  • To begin with your problem is not WP related.
Anyway, your first script is misplaced (on top means below the body tag). Change your title to a meaninful phrase and include the keywords meta tag.
