Starting up new website offline on MAMP

  • Hi there. I have MAMP downloaded and I am already working on a website on WordPress offline. However, I’ll be starting another WordPress website and will need MAMP to work on it as well. How do I start up a new website on MAMP without disrupting what I’m already working on? Do I need to reinstall or can MAMP hold both? Thank you!

  • mamp can do both
    just install in another folder
    create a new database or change the table_prefix on the second install in the wp-config.php

    Hi there, I have the WordPress installled in another folder.

    https://localhost:8888/wp-admin/setup-config.php?step=1

    I have changed the root to WordPress 2 folder, and I’m getting the questions for Database connection…

    Database Name
    User
    Password
    Database Host
    Table Prefix

    I have created a Database Name and User is the same.. how do I find out Password, Database Host and Table Prefix?
