    @indent,

    Using an H264 encoded mp4 should work in HTML5 mode without needing to set any additional fields.

    Can you provide a link to a page where the file is not playing correctly in HTML5 mode?

    Thanks.

    @indent,

    The issue here is that you don’t have the JW Embedder installed on your site. Try reinstalling the player (using the update page or manually) and verify that jwplayer.js is located in wp-content/uploads/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/player/. Things should start working for you after that.

    @lepassionne,

    I’m getting a 403 Forbidden when visiting your test page. Please make sure that it is publically available.

    Thanks.

    oups, its ok now, site is accesible

    @lepassionne,

    Try unsetting the html5_file and download_file for the piece of media you are embedding. They can be found in the media overlay for the youtube video you are embedding.

    Thanks.

    Sorry, but I don’t think that’s the issue here. I have already done that a few times with no success. The jwplayer.js is where it should be along with the player.swf.

    Any more suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Well inspecting the source shows that it is calling swfobject.embedSWF to embed the player.

    This can occur if jwplayer.js is not present or the version of the player being used is less 5.3? What version of the JW Player do you currently have installed?

    Thanks.

    Yes, exactly, that’s weird. I have also noticed that.

    I’m not shure of the version for the JW Player, but I have installed the latest WP plugin version 1.4.3. As I initially wrote:

    I get the “successfully downloaded and installed…” but no player version or sample video is displayed.

    I can’t see the version anywhere in WP.

    @LongTail Video

    Hi,

    i putt some images on my site, you’ll see 2 differant action for the same result,
    In both case , Videos aren’t playable on iphone 4 ios5 ; please, try it:

    My project need to born in 1,5 month, so if you want to see the ftp,or admin access;

    @LongTail Video

    without any change for me:(

    @indent,

    It looks like you have the latest version of the player which should be compatible with jwplayer.js. I think because the player version wasn’t set the plugin is assuming that you have an older version of the player and is using swfobject. I have a couple of more technical workarounds or if you feel comfortable giving me admin access I can take a closer look. You can email us at [email protected]. Just let me know.

    @lepassione

    After doing some debugging it looks like lightbox.js is throwing a script error when running on iPhone. I believe this is interrupting the player and preventing it from functioning. Would it be possible for you to try test without lightbox.js on the page?

    Thanks.

    Sure, i test it in few moment and say you results

    Jessica

    @LongTail Video

    It WORKS !! man, where do you find this psychédelik détail ?!
    lightbox.js was the problem; why..can you’ll fix it ?!
    Tow litle détails:
    1) you need 2 click on play for playing video;
    2) it works only when entering the html5 file; Don’t know if its a hard coding But When its exactly the same url, often the case with youtube video, it will be great to have enter just 1 url ; kind “if flv no possible and if no html5, try to automaticly match
    with first url;
    Not easy to explain for my french english..:)
    Did you understand me?!
    Thanks very much for help and debug, i’m waiting ur answer;

    @lepassione,

    There’s not much I can do about the lightbox.js issue. Who developed it?

    1) I’m assuming you want the video player to autostart? This isn’t possible on iPhone or iPad. Apple doesn’t allow playback without the user clicking first.

    2) You shouldn’t need to specifically set the HTML5 file if the original video plays under html5. This may be a bug that I will need to look into.

    Thanks.
