I did find this shortcode to place the facebook link on a page or post.
This was what I was missing. Sorry, for not explaining more clearly.

The options for the fb-share shortcode are type and id. You can specify a different type like so:

[fb-share type=button_count]

The types are standard, button_count, and box_count.

If you want to specify it for a specific post instead of the current one, you can use id=number to specify the id number of the post.
