• I am using the Twenty Eleven theme and I want my main sidebar/widgets to show up on individual ‘post’ pages. I have not been able to figure out why this isn’t happening. Can you please tell me what I am missing.

    Note:
? I have already checked to see if the Twenty Eleven theme supports widgets on individual ‘post’ pages and it does in it’s preview mode.
? My sidebar/widgets do show up on my ‘pages’ and ‘home’ page.

  • TwentyEleve doesn’t support sidebars on the single blog post view by default nor does it provide a way to make it happen without some code. I built a child theme of Twenty Elven for you that does the trick. Download it at the link below.

Go to themes and click the install themes tab at the top. Click on upload and upload the file. Then activate the theme.

It may take 15 minutes or so for the file to be fully available.

    Hi curtismchale!

Thank you for the child theme and the easy to follow instructions. I have installed it which has aloud me to have a sidebar on ‘post’ pages.

BUT the grid on ‘post’ pages is different than home and regular ‘pages’… So now my content looks cramped. Can this be fixed so that ‘post’ pages look the same as all the other pages on the site?

Thank you again for your help!
