Built-in WP horizontal menu

  • How do I get a horizontal hierarchical menu drop for categories? I can do it, except the first category is destined to be the menu title. Thanks

    I want
    CATEGORIES
    Cat 1
    Cat 2
    Cat 3

    All I can get is:
    Cat1
    Cat2
    Cat3
