• Hey Multisite and bbPress2.0 seem to work fine. The only thing is that the bbPress menu shows up on the dashboard all the sites in the network, whereas I want it to appear only on one of them.
I installed bbPress through my BuddyPress 1.5 installation and used the function “(Installed) Forums for Groups”

does anyone know a solution for this?
    thnx!

    Okay that’s different.

That’s actually not using the bbPress PLUGIN but the standalone install. So did you network activate BuddyPress? Also WHICH menu shows on the dash for all sites?

    Hey,

Ok, I am pretty new at this.
I network activated Buddypress, which only shows up in the dashboard of the network, and not on any dashboard sites.
In Buddypress I used the the function “Forum for Groups”.
Now on every dashboard of all the sites it shows
    – Forums
    – Topics
    – Replies

But there is only one site on which I want to use this function.

You may need to ask this at https://buddypress.org/ or https://bbpress.org :/

just de-activate bbPress networkwide and activate it from only main blog’s plugin section.

    thanx for the reply!

But it didn;t seem to work…

Now the forum completely disappeared and even reverting yields empty pages now and a time-out on the homepage…

bbPress2.0 and Buddypress1.5 are maybe not all that ready for each other yet in combination with a multi-site setup…

Also when I try to enable this option:

    New! Site Wide Forums

Your site will have central forums that are not isolated to any specific group. Choose this if you'd like to have a central forum area for your members.

You may activate both Group and Site Wide forums, but this may create a poor experience for your members.
    Features

    Central Discussion Area
    Forum Plugins Available
    Activity Stream Integration
    @ Mention Integration

It redirects me to the plugin of bbPress2.0 to install it. But then it finds I already installed it and leaves me there… and enebling the Site Wide fora is impossible…

Ask about it at https://buddypress.org/ – They would be the best resource.

thnx for the help so far.
I have asked at both bbPress and Buddypress.
For later reference; this is the (so far definite) answer provided at bbPress:
