    I had a blog network i wanted to set up with the wordpress multisite function. and I have a blog started there. I wanted to disable the multisite feature because of some problems i was having with loading plug-ins and stuff.I have tried to remove it and ran across a few error. Can you please help me repair the DB.

  • Did you backup the database before making these “changes”?

    i removed the code just before happy blogging in wp-config, changed allow multisite from true to false. this iw when i was getting a DB error. Then WP suggested i add a code to config to fix the db and i did then a report produced those errors above.

    You should document your changes better (saying ‘a code’ doesn’t help us if we don’t know WHAT code). As it happens, I’m assuming you mean the repair database line.

    i have already read an article like that, but i was wondering how do i Drop these global tables in the database:
    wp_blogs
    wp_blog_versions
    wp_registration_log
    wp_signups
    wp_site
    wp_sitemeta

    i have yet to do this on my own.

    Do you know how to get into your database at all?

    FWIW, wp_r5k7ks_1_ actually never exists if you’ve used WordPress MultiSite (it did exist on WPMU, which was the predecessor to MultiSite). So it shouldn’t be looking for it at all.

    I pointed you to the doc becuase I’m not sure what directions you DID follow, so it’s hard to tell you what to do.

    I would say to put the MultiSite lines back into the wp-config and see if that gets you back up. THEN make sure you deleted all your sites (did you?) except site #1.

    but i was wondering how do i Drop these global tables in the database:

    go into phpmyadmin, click the box in front of those tables, then click “drop tables”.

    That sounds “Easy Like Sunday Morning” I will go and try that today and post back to let you know how it all worked out.

    Thanx =)
