[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Problem with SFC and STC

  • Hi there

    I had SFC v 1.0 installed in my webpage and it was working, at least I manage to post an article on my FB fan page from my webpage using SFC. After the upgrade I can’t do it anymore, it gives me the API Error Code 102. I’ve tried saving the settings as suggested in another topic but still no luck. I also deleted the FB application, created a new one but still the same problem. I have the sidebar with fans’ pictures working fine.

    Another error message get on the SFC settings page is about the Token checks. It displays the message below:

    “No User or Access Token found. Cannot autopublish to Facebook Profile. Try re-saving this page.”

    For the record, I don’t have the autopublish box checked, as I want control what I send to FB depending on the articles, etc…

    Interesting enough, I also just installed STC and I can post on Twitter with no problems but then I couldn’t manage to make the STC sidebar Followers list or the sidebar Follow Button to work.

    SFC 1.0 will no longer work if you still have it. You *must* upgrade to 1.1, as of October 1st.

    If you have any other FB related plugins, try disabling them. Sometimes they can interfere.

    Thanks Otto but as I mentioned above, I upgraded to v.1.1.

    I don’t have any other FB related plugins. Any suggestion?

    I’ve had a few emails from people telling me that they got the 102 error message, but were able to resolve it just by clicking the grant permissions button again.

    I dunno. It’s not an error I’ve encountered before. Maybe it’s a problem on FB’s side?

    Go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps/ and click on the App in question.

    In the left menu, under Settings, click Advanced and look at the settings in the Migrations section.

    Switch the “Encrypted Access Token” setting to ‘Enabled’.

    Might fix the issue.

    I am also having this issue. I tried refreshing, checked app settings as well. Still unable to post.
