• Hi There,

I have set up this WP site: https://basbardie.nl.

On this site there is a 1 blog, but I want to add 2 more blogs. Is this possible?

What I did so far is:
    I created a network and made 2 mores sites/blogs:
    https://basbardie.nl/colum/
    https://basbardie.nl/korteverhalen

What I want is to add those two extra blogs as if they were pages in the primair domain basbardie.nl. The visitor has to be able to going to the 3 blogs just by clicking on the name of the blog displayed in the navigation bar. The navaigation bar and header/ footer has to be exactly the same for al the 3 “sites” As if it is one site wite three seperate blogs. Is this possible? If so how can I do it?

  • The usual way this (if I understand correctly what you want) is done is by using category lists. One category per ‘blog’. For example (see the items under ‘Residencies’, ‘Consultancy’ and ‘Blog’.

Make each site use the same theme.

Add their URL’s to the menu under Appearance -> Menus. This will only work if your theme supports dynamic menus.

I know the “usual” trick with assigning categories and show them in the menu. We had that. Thanks anyway.

Yes that’s what I found out to. I don’t know if my the “twentyeleven” supports dynamic menu’s but I also saw a tutorial how to create one.. Otherwise I can just create the same menu for every page, that’s not so much work.

So that’s the way to go then for having multiple blogs in one site, isn’t, a sort of trick with two different sites with different content but exactly the same style.

Does anybody know how search engines will react on creating multiple sites and visually linking those together instead of working with categories in one site? One the end there only one purpose: showing Bas Bardie.
