• My Nav Structure is the following:

    Page1, Page2, Page3
    Page3 has 3 Subpages: Page3.1, Page3.2 and Page 3.3

I have 2 menus, the second is only displayed on the template of the subpages of Page3.

The problem is: Menu-Item “Page3” shall lead to Page3.1 and not to “Page3”. This is possible with the menu editor. I just rename the menu-item leading to Page3.1 to “Page3”. But then the Menu-item stops getting .current-page-item class as soon as i click links on the second level menu, which is correct since Page3.2 is not an children of Page3.1. Page3 is the ancestor which is in fact never displayed.

Sure, i could make an “landing” page for the space Page3 – but its more user-friendly to jump directly to Page3.1 as intended.

Any ideas how to keep the highlighting in the top level menu?
