• This issue just started in the last 24ish hours. When editing an existing page, OR creating a new page, selecting any template in the template dropdown seems to work.. then when we save the page, it defaults to a different template. The template it switches over to is not a default, or index, or anything like that.

It seems any page we edit or create defaults to this template, no matter which template we choose.

-We don’t have any template file named home.php.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

–EDIT– Something else we noticed, this only happens when there is NO parent page set. If we set a parent page (any page), the selected template persists just fine.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

Is it happening on several computers, or just one? I’ve got this going on with one computer, but every other computer I try it on (even on the same site) it doesn’t do it. Try clearing cache/history and make sure IE is up to date.
