    Why are usernames registered as the users first name instead of e-mail?

    Because wordpress system log in is based on the usernames.

    Username = First Name because it’s the login name, users can redefine nickname in wordpress profile.
    I will add an option for that in settings.

    What happens when a user connects with the same name as someone else?

    If username already exists it count the number…
