Calling Part of a Wp Nav Menu

  • With the new WP Nav is it possible to call part of the Menu and it’s children menu items.

    The Situation:
    I have a main navigation that is in the header of the page.

    What I want to accomplish:
    Once on an inside page I want to call a specific part of the main navigation from the header to serve as a sidebar navigation specific to that section of the site.

  • I think the easiest way would be to create another menu with the elements you want in Appearance > Menus, and then call that specific menu with the Custom Menu widget in your sidebar.
