• Hi
I accidentally deleted MySQL database and don’t have backup. Can I use the old content?

after i accidentally deleted my database, my website show ‘error establishing connection’.

Then I create new MySQL database and user and write the new database and user into wp-config.php. Still I can’t use my old content!

it end up installing new wordpress content.
any idea how to use my old wordpress content without database backup?

    I am in trouble
    thanks

You can’t. The content is all stored in the database. When you create a new empty database, old content doesn’t magically reappear there.

You can retrieve any image or file uploads from the wp-content/uploads folder.

Also, try asking your hosts for a backup, they might have one.

i’m not sure how a website work. I’m new with this.

anyway, my localhost still having all the old content. It just the MySQL database that empty. Is MySQL database store all the post, picture and my CSS file.

OMG, I need to start my website from scratch again

Contact you host, and see if they have an automatic backup. Most good hosts have backups, and they may be able to restore tour old database for you.
