IE Compatibility Fail – theme issue?

  • Hi, https://www.chineseoriginal.com has some critical display problems on IE for the main page; possibly just versions 8-9. No noticeable problems on Safari or Firefox.

    The theme has alternative CSS files fixing bugs with IE versions 6 & 7. Is is sensible to clone these CSS files and re-label them for IE 8 & 9? What other code would need altered?

    I have also come across a plugin which promises to fix specific browser problems.

    What are your thoughts on these options? Advice on a long-term fix would be much appreciated.
