IE Display, Scrolling, and Comment Entry Performance Problems

My blog is https://www.wildduckdiary.com

It renders wonderfully in Firefox and Netscape, but has real problems in IE. I’ve done a lot of work to try to improve performance (i.e., going with simpler fonts, etc.), but still have not “cured” the problem.

Of course, I’ve spent a great deal of time at validator.w3.org, and have fixed a number of problems in header.php and sidebar.php (I’m using a variant of the Jakarta theme).

I have one line that is associated with all but one of the remaining messages at validator.w3.org:

Of course, this is my reference to The Truth Laid Bear Ecosystem for ranking blogs. Since this was supplied directly by TLLB, I’m loath to change it.

Could it be related to my problem? Or should I be looking for something else?
