Creating a Sound Library – like iStock/Dreamstime for audio files

  • Hi guys,

    I’m fairly new to WordPress and was hoping someone could push me in the right direction before I get started on my new site.

    I want to make a sound library, like istock photo but for audio files. There will be hundreds or even thousands of audio files ranging in sizes but up to 150MB per file. The files will ideally be broken down into categories with an additional search function. I also would like a preview feature and also a download / add to card feature. I have hosting with unlimited bandwidth (IX Webhosting) to deal with the space requirement so that’s one box ticked…

    I’m aware that this is probably a fairly large job, I just want to make sure I start off on the right foot before I get lost in the endless maze of O’s and I’s!

    Any ideas for good themes or plug ins?
