permalink modifications – help needed!

  • I recently changed from the default permalink structure to the custom permalink structure:

    /%postname%-%post_id%/

    which works well!

    On one of my pages I changed the name of the post to include a new word.

    For example, went from “post name” to “some new post name”

    the url however did not change along with the post name change.

    For example, it stayed as blog.com/post-name/

    instead of changing to blog.com/some-new-post-name/

    I need the the url to be blog.com/some-new-post-name/, any ideas how to accomplish this?

    Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!!!

    (FYI, My site is not indexed yet so a little modification before release should be ok)
