Extremely slow loading for past week

  • I have changed nothing in what I do, pages loaded, etc. but for the past week, loading my website either just to view or when editing inside the site has been painfully slow, taking up to two minutes to load a single page. I did not install the new “jetpack” yet (I think that’s what it’s called) that popped up for about a week saying it would be needed soon or stats etc. wouldn’t work. And now I can’t find that upgrade. I wondered if not installing it has caused the problem. Other bloggers I know are reporting the same issue to me.

    It is taking 45 seconds to a minute JUST to log in…never had that before. Updating posts can take almost two minutes.

    I don’t have this issue with any other site I use such as Facebook, Gmail, etc. so it is not my connection or server speed.

    Please advise…it’s killing my productivity in a huge way.

  • I do not think it is related to the jetpack thing.

    I have the same warning, and my sites are all fine. That’s just letting you know you will need to install that plugin in the future to continue to get updates on those services.

    I may be wrong on that of course…. depending on your host, that could be the issue.
