• Hello world… I am trying to get the default size of the post box to change. The default is 10 and I would like to have it be larger. I’ve changed the value in Settings>Writing>Size of the post box to several different values and although the number does stay in there, the size of the post box does not change. I’ve tried relaunching the browser as well as using different browsers (current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox all running on OSX 10.6.7) and none of them seem to observe the post box size setting. If it makes any difference, I leave the “kitchen sink” tools turned on all the time, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference if I turn it off.

Any ideas? I’m aware you can drag the corner of the post box to be larger on-demand and that does work, but I find that I am doing this every time and I want the default to be larger.

I mean in the editor. Is that not what that value in Settings changes?

    hi wdln
    No,you can’t that..
By increasing the size of post as the way Settings>Writing>Size of the post box will not increase the size of the post box editor.

So ,you can try to do that by CSS.

    Thanks.

    sorry
    I was wrong
Yes,you can change editor size by setting value in Settings>Writing>Size of the post box after that You have to save taht changes.

Yes, I realize you have to save the changes after changing the post size box. After saving the settings, if I go to a new post, the box is the same size it always is; nothing changes. If I go back to the settings again, it does reflect the new number I entered. So the setting is sticking but it’s not actually changing the size of the box.

Is anyone having this problem, where changing this setting does not appear to do anything?

Any one is there to help him.

But i have tried in my local system the above probelm, but it is not happening to my site.

I think he is suffering on that probelms. Please Fix that prblems.

I’ve just tested it in FF6 and Chrome. Set the size to 50 and it worked fine.

If it doesn’t work for you in any browser, you could try disabling your plugins.
