cant get anything in the sidebar on the right

  • i want to add a image to the right of my post and cant figure out how. i am using wedding bells theme. right now, i have a header image and my post underneath.
    on the right of my post, there is an empty space for sidebar stuff. i want to put a image in there but i cant figure out how to get anything there. everything i add, even images just shows up underneath my first post

  • In your WP admin screen, go to Appearance (left column), then Widgets and you should be able to configure your sidebar there, including adding photos, text and other stuff.

    There are literally thousands of WordPress themes – which means that many people won’t be familiar with your particular theme. So a link to your site where people can see the theme might result in more responses.

    dreamynest, anytime i add widgets, they all show up underneath my first post. it only gives me 1 place to drag the widgets to.

    im just trying to create a simple landing page
    i would like to add an image right next to the post.

    Go back and look at the mypartiss theme and see if it has sidebar capabilities and where they are and how many. If so, you may have to go into the Appearance settings and work on your theme a little bit to get the sidebars to show up.

    One thing to note that took me a while to figure out is that there are themes that are easier to work with than others. I’m not familiar with the theme you’re working with. If you do a google search for WYSIWYG WP themes, you can probably find a theme that works easier for you.
