Search within table

  • First off great plugin…one of the best out there.

    so…

    I’ve made tables on my wordpress site to list product numbers and descriptions but I have multiple product numbers for one item.

    for example item 1 would be #100 which is my part number but also carried by another company at #200

    Is there a way to search my field and say if a person searches #200 and it would relate and they would show our part number which is #100
    and

    some maybe somewhere its makes it to where #100=#200

    but I only want to list my part number and if they searched the other it would relate to mine.

    Thanks for any help in the above. I love wordpress and am trying my hardest not to go to one of those cheesy commerce sites because I love your plug in!

    Hi,

    thanks for your post.

    Unfortunately, I don’t really think that this is possible.
    The search here is performed by the DataTables JavaScript library and I have not seen something like this before.
    You would like need to develop a custom search function using the library’s API. Sorry that I don’t have an easier answer…
