Hope someone can advise us. Our site https://www.rushfitreview.org went bonkers last night.
The formatting seems to have disappeared and no images are showing up. Even the dashboard of the Admin panel is wacky looking. I was going to go back to the default theme but the dashboard doesn’t show images or near as I can tell the theme. There are two of us that have been working on it so I don’t know which one of us did something.
But I think it had to do with creating a custom header. Any advise is appreciated.

UPdate here’s what we did to create the problem: We installed dynamic header plugin – instructions were to change the permissions in the header PHP file or create a new file/header.imagesPHP. When we did this everything went haywire. We have since deleted the new file but formatting is still gone. The dashboard doesn’t show the default theme to change back to. I’ve seen advice on others to try that.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thank you very much for the response. We’ve deactivated the plugins and no change. Also going back to the default theme shows the same messed up pages. No images show up and it looks crazy. We will try resetting the plugins, but could it have to do with changing the permissions in the PHP file? or the new header.images file?

It really depends upon which file you changed. Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thanks again. That probably would have worked as well. The problem was the permissions that were changed. I think we changed it back to 755 and everything seems to work. Thanks again.
