Event Calendar 6.7.4 losing data ea. month

  • Our church site using the WP 3.0.1, natural-health theme and Events calendar Version 6.7.4 which is requiring that data be re-entered every month, even for repeating events.

    I’m considering doing the auto upgrade to 7.6.11 but want to ask if there’s anything to consider before doing so. Or does anything need to be fixed after upgrading? i.e. Sidebar? I see that WP Events calendar is compatible with WP 3.0.1 but does it lose the contents of the calendar during the upgrade. I would rather wait until the new month begins since we’ll have to re-enter all the data anyway otherwise I can go ahead and do it.

    PS: I know I should update the WP version but that could be a disaster for the same reason.

    When you update you will not lose any data for events. There is a possiblity that you will lose any CSS changes so make sure to back up any stylesheets before upgrading.

    Also, just a side note… I am doing a complete rewrite of the plugin, and I hope to include recurring events in the new release. Keep a watch on my site to stay up-to-date.
