[Plugin: MailChimp Archives] Does NOT automatically update MailChimp archive!

  • I’m using this plugin to list my MailChimp campaigns on a web page via the shortcode. I’ve discovered that the plugin does not automatically update my website’s MailChimp archive when a new email is sent out. I have to go into the administrative settings and manually update it every single time I send out a new email!

    Is the plugin supposed to work this way? Is there a way to make the updates automatic?

    If the updates cannot be done automatically, it seriously limits the usefulness of this plugin. I was planning to use this plugin on the websites of all my clients, but I’m not going to do that if it means I have to go around manually updating all the sites myself. It’s just more work for the site administrator.

    I’ve stopped using this plugin until the problem can be resolved. I’ve come up with a work-around based on MailChimp’s own embedded archive code. I’ve posted all the details here for anyone who’s interested.
