Creating a Static Front Page

Creating a static Front Page and re-point the Posts Page to another page works very well if you following the instruction as above. At least using my Mac Book OSX 10.5.8 in combination with MAMP.

BUT – when I perform exactly the same steps in a Windows 7 environment using Wampserver 2.1 the new Posts Page will not work and displays a 404 page.

This problem has caused me a number of hours without a proper result until I decided to try it on my OSX box.
To be fair; I have used Windows environment for my WP development a lot and it has worked absolutely beautifully.

If you need further information about different versions etc, please let me know.
