[Plugin: Special Recent Posts] Not Using Correct Categories – not excluding

Hello, I cant get the widget to show links to recent posts only from certain categories. I want to exclude some.
I pasted the slugs (comma separated) of ONLY the categories I want to show into the categories field of the widget control panel…
what am I not doing right?
