• So I was trying to remove some info from the bottom of the Adventure Journal theme for my site https://www.h2k2outdoorventures.com . I removed “<div id=”attrition”>Adventure Journal Theme is Proudly Designed By Contexture International</div>
    <?php
    }”
    and I get this message “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CASE in /home/content/74/7999174/html/wp-content/themes/adventure-journal/functions.php on line 440” on my admin page and also the website. How can I get back in to fix this? Thanks

  • Re-upload a fresh copy of the theme.

    I cant even get on my wp admin dashboard without getting that error. Before I even get to login it says “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CASE in /home/content/74/7999174/html/wp-content/themes/adventure-journal/functions.php on line 440”

    Maybe it didnt log me out

    It should be just a five minute job to fix it. It’s like esmi said… You either need to re-upload a fresh copy of the theme, or remove it completely.

    Don’t worry about the dashboard for now, just use either your ftp client, or the file manager in your hosts control panel to replace or delete the theme.

    Ok, that allowed me back in. Awesome, thank you SOOOO much….and my stuff is still there even.

    You’re welcome. That’s usually a pretty minor thing. That can happen with plugins or themes from time to time. It usually doesn’t affect anything other than the actual file you happen to be working on at the time. Glad it’s fixed!
