password is not remembered after moving wordpress folder

    I recently moved my wordpress from the installation & development directory https://www.domain.com\wordpress, to the root directory, https://www.domain.com. I had heaps of issues doing this but finally got it working using the steps in the codex.
    Now though, I have to reset my password each time I login which gets rather annoying? I think it is something to do this the htaccess file but don’t understand how it works well enough to trouble shoot it.

    Any suggestions?
