how to require registration details before allowing free downloads?

Hey there folks –

I am currently building my first wordpress site for a client. (used other CMSes like drupal before, but just cutting my teeth on wordpress)

the client has requested a feature that requires users to give their name, address, email before they can download some of our materials as .pdfs (handbooks and other useful things)

is there an easy way to do this? we don’t want to force them to become members of the site – just a simple separate registration form, and then once they complete it it redirects them to the download page, or the specific download of their choice…
