Wits end – imported successfully but nothing shows.

  • I imported all my posts and comments, the dashboard says that all my posts and comments are there.. I can view it in the admin section but alas when I go to my site https://www.arrogantly.com and click on comments.. a 404 error is what I get….

    when I click on categories also I get the same error… but in admin all these things are visible.. then how come I am getting a 404 error.

    ok.. now I deleted everything, didnt import anything, clean install, no plugins, no nothing and still same error.. cant access the comments page.

    I fugured out what the problem was.. I had old blogger directories named 2005 and when wp tried to access .com/2005/blah.php it searched in the 2005 directory and returned a 404 error… well thats fixed..

    the whole reason I deleted and reinstalled/imported is because I cant post any comments…. the page hangs at https://www.arrogantly.com/wp-comments-post.php … been 4 days since I’ve been with this error and am jusy about to give up on it.

    How are you uploading the files to the server ?
    Could the ftp client be introducing errors ?

    Podz, it was a stupid mistake on mypart.. it had to do with a few wrong lines of code in the theme… thanks for your help as always.
