Can't edit the Welcome Page

  • I can’t seem to make any changes on the Welcome page which is currently my second page. It appears that only posts can be made on that page. Any way to change that. Do I need to delete the page and start over? Also, is there a way to reorder/rearrange the pages?

  • Without a link to your site I can only guess, but I think that your Welcome Page must be set as the ‘Posts page’ in Admin->Settings->Reading.

    As such, it shows only posts. The order will be controlled by the template used, probably either home.php or index.php. See the Codex on Stepping Into Templates for help with this.

    Thank you, that was it and it was fixed quickly and easily…but now I have a different problem. I’m brand new at this, can you tell. ?? I am trying to upload affiliate links and now I can upload but the html looks the same on the edited page. I opened the site in a new window to double check and sure enough the 2nd page just shows a bunch of code. Any suggestions? The site is https://www.The-3D-TV.com

    If you are pasting in HTML, you must use the HTML mode of the editor, not the Visual mode.
