Music is choppy while downloading

Initially, the files will start to play normally. But when the track gets about 10 seconds in, the music gets very choppy until the file finishes downloading.

I have moved the buffer time from 5 seconds to 30, but that made no difference.

Anything else i can try? The first post on djgrumpypants.com is the test i am doing. There is a soundcloud and then the audio plugin version below it.
