Non Automatic Updates?

  • Hi I need version 3.1 for the theme I am running …

    I installed 3.0 beta because 3.1 version i had was giving me issues on the install. I was thinking I could upgrade one level up, but the only available auto update is 3.2.

    Is there a way to do this without taking 3.0 beta out and doing it from scratch with the core 3.1 files copied into my server to replace the 3.0 beta files?

  • Hello there,

    As far as I know, there is no way to do this other than manually. The changelog for 3.1 is not very detailed at all, and it mentions a change in the database, so I would suggest against any partial installs (such as copying only the wp-admin folder).

    Are you sure your theme doesn’t work under 3.2? If you want to give it a try, don’t forget to backup all your files and database first.
