The pictures are nice, but like Odayr mentioned the right side is terribly empty.
I don’t know if I would center it and would opt instead to put a sidebar there and lose the page 1 of 2 you have at the top and bottom. To me that means too things, either your friend does not get enough jobs to fill up more pages (which is an impression you don’t want to give) or if I come back a few months later, I’m going to see a whole bunch of pages that I have to click and go to much like in a forum.
As far as the picture pages I would put smaller pictures on them that would open up larger versions of the pictures when clicked. As a web designer, you should know that this move would save you bandwidth, as well as adding some pizazz to your site.
Keep in mind that the way you have the site set-up now might be exciting for the people who’s weddings and events you are showing, but those are over and done business. What your site should really be doing is attracting new customers. You have to make people who were not on those weddings want to feel exited and click, and explore and ultimately hire your friend to do their weddings and events.
