• I’m making a website hosted by streamline.net. I got as far as making an ‘under construction, coming soon’ type front page and a rough template before I decided to upload WordPress and use it to edit my site.

The problem is that every time I create a new page, it comes out as a copy of my existing front page. No matter how I edit it, when I click ‘View Page’ I still see the same thing. Looked all over WP help, can’t find anything on this. Can anyone please advise?

  • You should post a link, but its probably your old page just getting read before your wordpress site. Its probably called index.html or index.php. Youre going to want to either, a) delete that and use an under construction plugin, b) develop your wordpress site in its own directory and then move it over when youre done. Those are the simplest ways to go about it.

Thanks jeezyo – I’ll try moving it to its own folder and see if that works. The offending page is https://catherineandchloe.co.uk/?page_id=14
