• I dont know when this started realy, but I tried disable all plugins and clean the caches and other things but the Menu from Left Side, on TOOLS of plugin Add Link to Facebook disappeared.

But the strange think is: the plugin stay working on my blog. In the moment I just can’t change options from it acessing it, because it disappeared.

    What can be?

  • My best guess: the option ‘Share with all users on this site‘ has been enabled. Only the admin user that enabled this option can access the settings in this case. See also question U22 of the FAQ.

    Do you not understand…

U22 Where are the settings of the plugin?
In the WordPress menu Tools. Note that if you checked the option Share with all users on this site, only the adminstrator that checked this option can access the settings.

But if you read what I said in menu Tools dont appear nothing about Add Link to Facebook plugin.

And of course that I am trying fix this using the admin user. LoL

There could be more than one admin user and another admin user could have enabled the option ‘Share with all users on this site‘. Only the admin user that enabled the option can change the settings (not all admin users).

If you think this is not the case, please let me know.

If you install the development version (see here for details), you can see which admin user can access the settings.

WordPress needs some time to update the development version (up to half an hour). This feature is available if the changelog includes ‘Improvement: message when settings only available to another admin‘.

Have only 2 admins on the blog, and I have access on both.
And I CANNT find this options.

The options ‘Share with all users on this site’ is in the Menu Tools of plugin ‘Add Link to Facebook’ ?

Yes, all the options are on the same page.
Did you already try the development version?
The menu should be available to everyone, but there will be a message if only another admin can access the menu.

    (@hit321)

“I cannt find this options”. Did you see on my screenshot ?

    I’ll try the dev version.

Now I am thinking, what happened for disappear this options to my 2 admins ? And only admins could see this option, now even admins cannt see. lol

If you know how, put this at line 386 of the file add-link-to-facebook-class.php:

    delete_option(c_al2fb_option_app_share);

It will disable the sharing option.

If you don’t know how, you could consider to allow me to login to your site to fix this problem. In that case contact me through this form.

BTW, didn’t you see the menu in the development version? Was there no message which user enabled the option?

I put the code on line 386. and the Options appeared for all users now…I remove the code and staying appearing for all users.

And the strage think is that the settings of plugins isnt set. But the plugin are working on my blog because I use some functions to get infos to meta tags.

How I remove for not appear to other users.

    (@hit321)

And the button that I put in the settings isnt appearing on the posts.

    The blog: https://simplesmentejogos.com.br/

Need appearing in the top of posts the Recommend Button.

How I remove for not appear to other users.

By checking the option ‘Share with all users on this site‘.

And the button that I put in the settings isnt appearing on the posts.

How did you add the button? The like button in the widget will not appear on the front page. Please read question U28 of the FAQ to understand why and how to solve it.

I think all problemas was resolve with the CODE that you send me.

And to not appear the options to others users need be checked (yes) the option: “Share with all users on this site”.

    Thank you m66b!
