• I can upload pdfs to my self hosted site, but I cannot then open or download a pdf using the link. I can download Word Docs and Powerpoint and regular images, just not pdfs.

Anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this?
    Thanks

  • Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

Seems to be working. Maybe it’s the machine you’re using rather than the website.

You know what, it must be a Google Chrome issue. I can view pdfs fine in Firefox and IE. I have tried both the Chrome pdf viewer and the regular Adobe Reader plugin. Any reason you can think of as to why a pdf won’t open or download in Chrome? I can open other pdfs in the internet with no problem. I just have problems with pdfs I am hosting in WordPress.

Do you need to install the Acrobat Reader plugin for Chrome?

I already have it installed. I just edited my previous post with more detail. but here it is in this post.

There shouldn’t be any difference. FWIW, I can download/view pdfs from WP sites using Chrome

I can view pdfs on other WP sites as well. I’m just trying to figure out why I can’t view my own pdfs in Chrome.
