Dashboard zeitgeist on other pages

I have been trying to cut and paste the Dashboard zeitgeist div (where all the recent activity is on the right side of your dashboard) onto the Shortstat (https://dev.wp-plugins.org/wiki/wp-shortstat) page but I keep getting errors. Looks like it needs to be in the loop or something. I tried adding the required arguments from the top of the admin index.php, but to no avail.

Basically what I am trying to do is make the Shortstat page my default, since I get all the RSS stuff through my aggregator.

Anyone give me a hint?
