Combine static logo image and slider in header

  • Dear all,
    I am putting together an online shop. On my “home” page I would like to put a static logo image on the left half of the header area, and on the right half I would like to have a slider to showcase my portfolio (with links to products).

    I have searched extensively for a theme with two positions in the header, but to no avail. I only have basic understanding of html, css, php etc. so it would be very time-consuming to modify an existing theme to my needs. But it seems to be the only option.

    My question is if there is a theme that allows me to combine a static logo and slider in the header area. Alternatively, how one would go about modifying a theme to incorporate this.

    (I use WP 3.2 with Twenty Eleven, but can change theme if required)

  • I would suggest you to try Placid Slider from SliderVilla.com. That will help you in adding product portfolio, sponsors’ logos and promotional offers in a slider. Slider just work fine on WP 3.2. You have options like shortcode, template tag and widget to embed the plugin on your WP Theme.
