Memory error each time we try add an image to a post.

  • Whenever we attempt to add a ‘featured image’ to our posts, we get the following error.

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 65296 bytes) in /home/content/21/*******/html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/gd.thumbnail.inc.php on line 434

    I have gone over our server settings, I have checked and re-checked our memory availability, and we are currently nowhere near our limit, as this error would suggest.

    No other plugins experience this problem, and I beleive it’s only been since moving to 1.8.1. I have not moved to an earlier version fearing loosing all of our work with albums and galleries.

    Help is most appreciated.
