• Howdy,

I have to shake my head reading through the posts relating to the 3.2 update. If you are running anything other than a “test” or “trial” or “experimental” or “play” site, then it is incumbent upon you, as the “webmaster”, to at least follow the best practices of same, the primary one being displayed in the attached image:

Furthermore, for those complaining that they “were not warned”, WP 3.2 Beta 1 was released on 12 May 2011, almost 2 months ago … how much “warning” did you require to adequately test all your installed plugins and themes ??

    …just sayin’… ??

    Cheers!
    Lyle

  • I appreciate your candor. Now can you offer any solutions?

    Yes.

    1) restore from your backup ??

    2) change to a host that has the most up to date versions of PHP and MySQL ??

I maintain 12 WP sites on both Go Daddy and HostGator shared Linux accounts. From their initial manual installations with WP 3.0, all have updated using the WP Admin auto update without a hitch, up to and including WP 3.2. Same with all the plugins and themes.

However, before each update, I run a backup, in addition to the regularly scheduled ones I make. I also test each update on local install prior to performing it on a live site, and verify that the installed plugins and themes are compatible with the update. Yes, it’s a lot of work, but that’s what I get paid to do ??

So if your update to 3.2 has gone pear-shaped, and you have not made a backup, I would suggest your contact your host to see if you could get one from them, both database and files, and restore from that.

Since the 3.3.2 update I’ve lost nested bullets. Please advise. Will this be fixed anytime soon? When I edit pages with nested bullets, the nests disappear.

Oops I see I put this in the wrong string. Sorry. I’ll try to delete it.

    Thank you.
    Donna
